Chicago-Based Independent Rapper Noname Teases New Album Release

Chicago based rapper, Fatimah Nyeema Warner, known by her stage name, Noname, is coming off her successful 2016 debut mixtape, Telefone, and has been touring throughout the United States and Europe ever since. She jumped onto the independent-music scene in 2010 and saw her audience following explode after her feature on Chance the Rapper’s track “Lost” on the mixtape Acid Rap.

She recently teased her new album Room 25, a highly anticipated follow-up. Though she issued the month of release, there aren’t any further specifics at this time.

Renown for her vulnerable lyrics, Noname gives the the listener insight on the struggles of being an African-American woman. If Room 25 is anything like Telefone, it will provide valuable revelations that are rarely found within music today.

Her lyrics are profound, deep and thought provoking. Paired with her varied flow and her accessible voice, Room 25 is set to make a splash in the rap game.
