Jake Ewald’s Slaughter Beach, Dog A Must See On Final Leg of Tour

Jake Ewald, the front-man of Slaughter Beach, Dog, is no stranger to independent-music success. He is most notable for his time with the indie powerhouse Modern Baseball, a group that reached tremendous success between the years 2011-16 with hits such as, “Tears Over Beers,” “Your Graduation,” “Pothole” and “Mass.”

The band went on hiatus in 2017 due to personal reasons, which gave Ewald time to record Birdie, his second solo-experimental album, receiving favorable reviews around the music industry.

Slaughter Beach, Dog is back on tour throughout North America following a UK journey with Tigers Jaw.

The crew’s first stop was in Boston, MA, and they continued throughout the Northeast with a stop in Philadelphia, PA. The band and Ewald hold the city close to heart because it was the former stomping grounds of Modern Baseball.

Ewald has been playing smaller venues with fellow independent artists, but the crowds have been enjoying the stories and world he has created.

The band is scheduled to run their tour through the end of September, finishing in the bright lights of New York City.
